Have you ever yelled ?I just need some space!' at your partner during a row? Well your prayers have been answered.

This cheese isn't the edible stuff, but a chunk of land on the moon. The novel Lunar Deeds will make for a fantastic present for family and friends of all ages. If you can't afford to get on the property ladder don't worry, because for a matter of pounds, you can buy a piece of land on another planet.

Due to a Law passed in American Congress, the Lunar Deed is the only authorised reseller of land on the lighted lunar surface, and a certificate of authenticity will prove to all of your friends that you do actually own something. It's out of this World!

Includes:

  • Lunar Deed, which confirms your registration of the one acre of the moon and gives the co-ordinates of your plot.
  • The Lunar Map so you can see where your property is located.
  • A document, confirming you have Mineral Rights to your land.
  • The Lunar Constitution and Bill of Rights, which details the Lunar laws and your rights.
  • A transcript of the Declaration of Ownership. This is the document filed with the USA and Russia along with the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 in which Dennis M. Hope - first laid claim to the Moon.
  • Postage paid registration card.
Just so you are prepared for when/if you visit your plot; here are some Lunar facts:
  • The Moon is a 4.6 billion year old ball of rock that circles around Earth once every 27 days, 7 hours and 43 minutes.
  • The moon's diameter is about 2,160 mi (3,476 km), somewhat more than 1/4 the earth's diameter. The moon has about 1/81 the mass of the earth and is 3/5 as dense.
  • On the Moon's surface the force of gravitation is about 1/6 that on earth.
  • The surface temperature rises above 100?XC (212?XF) at lunar noon and sinks below -155?XC (-247?XF) at night.
  • The plane of the Moon's orbit is tilted, or inclined, at an angle of about 5?X with respect to the ecliptic.
  • There is no air on the Moon, but it has recently been announced that water is definitely present - according to NASA between 10 and 300 million tons of water-ice is scattered inside the craters of the lunar poles.
  • There are dark areas on the Moon. These are really dry land but long ago astronomers thought they were filled with water, so they called them seas.
  • In 1969, the first astronauts landed on the Moon. This trip was followed by five more missions, the last in 1972.

Q. If people ever live on the moon will I be able to sell my land and make some money?
A. Once you have bought and registered your Acre of Land on The Moon it is yours to do with as you will. The deed even has a transfer of ownership section for you to pass the rights to someone else.

Q. If I want to buy a piece of land for my dad, do I have to enter his details in the ordering page on the website or is there somewhere else this is entered?
A. The deeds can be written by hand or they can be sent to MoonEstates for personalisation, either way is legal.

Q. Which of the planetary properties available has the most valuable known minerals on?
A. It is hard to say which of the planets is richest in minerals because only a tiny proportion of each body has been studied by our spacecraft and then only very near to the surface. We do know that many minerals are to be found on the Moon, including Gold and Platinum, but it impossible for us to say the quantities or location.

Review Acre of Land On Moon.

The missus always says she 'just needs some space' so here honey have an acre to play on!!
Gareth R, Leeds

Well you see, I've been going out with my girlfriend for quite a while now... it was her birthday coming up and I was stuck for ideas, so after a quick look on the site, I bought her a bit of the moon. She couldn't have been happier!! A job well done, cheers Boys Stuff!
Charlie, Berkshire

When I saw you could purchase an acre of land on the moon, I couldn't resist buying an acre for my mother in law. For her birthday next year, I'm going to save up for a one-way ticket to send her to her plot!!!!
Andrew, Newquay

You can spend ages on deciding on what to buy friends for their 21st! Then give them... the MOON. It is the best and most original present someone could get! What makes it special it will last forever! I bought the moon for my friend and the smile it brought to his face was amazing! It’s a present he will never forget. What is good now, I know what to get him next year… A ROCKET!
Matthew, Southport

I am a little concerned about the planning laws. If I buy several acres it will be purely for investment purposes and once I have received planning permission I intend to sell it on for a vast profit. Do you know if there are any restrictions on the number of storeys I can build? I am particularly interested in the Sea of Tranquility neighbourhood.
Cliff, Daventry

I heard that whatever land you're in on your 18th, you are a citizen of that land. Therefore, if you go to your acre of land on your 18th, would that make you Lunar? Or just Looney?
Anthony Williams, LLanfairpwll

I say take out a loan and buy it all, then if NASA want to land there they will HAVE TO pay you millions! The Earth is over populated, and getting worse, and the moon has only 1/4 the surface area of Earth, think about it....
Peter Day, Tockwith

Lunar landscapes, star sectors. People we are buying the news of tomorrow. Intergalatic property wars. What country do we belong to, will they interject on whatever problems we endure.... or can we annex ourselves?
Owen Dungworth, Skanderborg

Fantastic idea!! It means I can send my boyfriend off to the moon so I can have a bit of peace and quiet! Roll on christmas!
Laura Mitchell, Sutton Coldfield

So like if I catch some astronaut on my land...
Dan, Chichester

I'm going to buy a few acres of the moon, side by side, and build a lunar base there with a 'laser', muhahaha!
Dan, Chester
