Man Of Steel Film Review

The latest Superman movie is finally here and sees General Zod (Shannon) attempting to take over the dying world Krypton, but, in fear for his new born son, chief scientist Jor-El (Crowe) decides to rocket him into space. After crashing into Earth the newborn, Kal-El, is found by the Kents (Costner and Lane) who decide to keep the child’s super strength and extreme sensory perception a secret. But now, 33 years later, Zod is on the warpath for Kal which leads to him coming out of hiding and revealing his secret powers.

Director, Zack Snyder, who is responsible for ‘The Dark Knight’, alongside producer Christopher Nolan have put together this alternative story of the classic superhero where we see the building blocks of Clarke Kent, how he was created and why he is here on earth. This movie can be seen as a great superhero adventure, but it was apparent that the premise of Superman was missing, his relationship with Lois Lane wasn’t the most genuine, his everyday crime fighting activities were noticeably absent and it just seems that this movie ventured a little too far from the original Superman.

But what do you think? Is the new Superman, the improved Superman?
